Rev. Mary Murphy, M.Div., BCC was ordained a Roman Catholic Woman Priest on May 4, 2024. She holds a Master of Divinity degree from Vanderbilt University and is a Board Certified Chaplain. Mary served as a chaplain resident at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and continued providing spiritual care to patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. She has also worked as a spiritual counselor in addiction treatment settings.

A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Mary's educational journey took her from the University of California at Davis to Vanderbilt University. Her lifelong love of the arts includes writing poetry and studying visual arts. Since 2001, she has made her home in Nashville, Tennessee, where she and her husband, Doug, raised two children.
