Wendi Steinberg was ordained a Roman Catholic Woman Priest in 2024 and is commissioned and endorsed by the Federation of Christian Ministries (FCM, 2025). A member of the RCWP Compassion Circle, Wendi serves through preaching, sacramental ministry, and spiritual formation.

As Director of Spiritual Care, Education and Ethics at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA, Wendi leads a team of 19 dedicated to holistic care. She is the health system Chair of both the Ethics Committee and Institutional Review Board for research. A recipient of the Department of Defense Patriotic Employer Award (2022), Wendi has secured over $1 million in grants to advance Clinical Chaplain Education in underserved rural communities. She is a Board-Certified Chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplains and an ACPE Certified Educator.
 

Wendi is an experienced Yin Yoga practitioner, burgeoning acrylic and watercolor painter, avid wildlife photographer, and devoted vermiculturist composting with worms as a small act of love for a sustainable world. For Wendi, tending the earth and tending the human spirit are part of the same sacred calling.
