Oscar Romero Church is an Inclusive Church in the Catholic tradition that meets in the dining room of the Rochester Catholic Worker house, St. Joseph’s House of Hospitality. We are a tiny church with a strong commitment to the poor, some of whom are us. We make decisions together, and chose the name Oscar Romero Church because we hope to be as steadfast in walking with the poor of our nation as Monsenõr Romero was in his. St Romero’s has a relationship with a small Baptist community in El Salvador, and we celebrate Spanish-language Mass in migrant camps outside of Rochester. We are also a member of the Greater Rochester Community of Churches.
